What is cotton satin?
We can talk about cotton satin when the weave has at least 100 woven threads per cm². The more threads woven into the cotton, the more resistant your linen will be. A tight weave also adds softness and suppleness to your bed linen.
The number of threads isn't the only important feature when you're looking for top quality for your sheets. The fibre used is also important. At Cotton & Co, we have selected Egyptian cotton. The special feature of this cotton is the fineness of its fibres. This results in an even tighter weave (up to 240 threads/600 TC). This explains why you may not find such a beautiful effect on products containing the same number of threads, but made from a less prestigious raw material.
Why choose a fitted sheet in Egyptian cotton?
The cotton fitted sheet is the ultimate reference for the most luxurious hotels. It's the perfect combination of durability and elegance. With this material, quality is finally combined with aesthetics. The advantage of a top-of-the-range fitted sheet, apart from its durability, is also the comfort it provides. How do you choose your fitted sheet?
The length and width of your mattressshould, of course, determine the size of your sheet, but you should also consider a detail that will guarantee the comfort of your nights: thethickness of your mattress. If you choose the wrong fitted sheet, you risk two things: either your mattress is thicker than the fitted sheet and the latter will be too tight, or the fitted sheet is too wide and won't stay in place properly during the night.
You therefore need to pay attention to the size of the bonnet. At Cotton & Co, you can choose between two sizes: a fitted sheet suitable for 34 cm thick mattresses ("large cup") and standard cups for 24 cm thick mattresses.
